Here at Victorious Church we understand that sometimes not everything in life goes to plan and if your needing a little bit of help, we’d love to help you where we can or put you in touch with the people that are able to offer you the best help for your situation.
Emergency Relief
Victorious Church – Help includes provision of emergency food vouchers. Phone 8595 1999 Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Salvation Army Berri – Help includes the provision of food, blankets, clothing and other financial supports for people experiencing an emergency financial crisis. Support is provided: Monday to Thursday – 9.30am to 1.00pm. Phone 8582 3182.
Pastoral Care, Prayer Support, encouragement and mentoring
Victorious Church – We have professional and caring pastoral staff and volunteers who are trained and available for pastoral care, prayer support mentoring and encouragement. Phone 8595 1999, Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm to make an appointment.
Help with Drugs and Alcohol
Drug and Alcohol Service South Australia (DASSA) – Phone 1300 131 340, 8:30am -10:00pm, 7 days per week for information or to make an appointment here in the Riverland. Alternatively, make an appointment with your trusted local doctor and have a chat with them about your situation.
Teen Challenge SA – Variety of help and programs available including residential. Phone 8431 9847 during business hours
Help with Mental Health including Depression, Anxiety and Suicide
If life is in danger call 000 immediately.
Country Mental Health Services – The Rural and Remote Distance Consultation and Emergency Triage and Liaison Service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on 13 14 65.
Remember, you are able to present at a hospital emergency department anytime.

Life Line – Crisis support and suicide prevention phone 13 11 14 anytime.
Alternatively, in non-emergency situations you can make an appointment with your trusted local doctor and have a chat with them about your situation and ask them for a referral to an appropriate councillor or psychologist.

Help getting Healthy
Get Healthy is a free, confidential information and telephone based coaching service that helps adults make lifestyle changes in relation to healthy eating, being physically active and achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
